So I managed to finish my first animated sprite. I took the colored img into Flash, and used the "trace bitmap" option to give it more of a pixelated look. We went out to lunch at Ruby Tuesday at Pembroke, and decided to go to Michaels to check out brushes, and various art supplies. This was a 4 page comic I was working on for the Gingerbox anthology "Missiles and Diamonds" . It's actually a prequel to my Route 66 Rock Fantasy comic. If you're wondering the text is an excerpt from "Dread and the Fugative Mind" by Megadeth. I want to try to infuse bits of music into the story. We'll see how that goes.

I had a pretty decent weekend. I spent an awful amount of time trying to get this cg painting of Empress done. I really liked how it turned out. There were multiple times where i wanted to just stop and move on to something else, but I kept at it and here it is. So today marks the start of panel work for the first issue of TWG. which i'm working on as i type this. I'm both excited and nervous

So I had to enlist some outside help to figure out some things about drawing the female form, and the female face. I'm going to use the photos for some designs for the Grey Guardian's sidekick, Lookout. I'll have the drawings I'm working on for that soon, right now here's a concept sketch of Empress.
